Silver prices on Wednesday fell by ₹1,062 to ₹2,29,795 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery declined by ₹1,062, or 0.46 per cent, to ₹2,29,795 per kg in a business turnover of 846 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.
Globally, the white metal was trading 1.35 per cent higher at $60.78 per ounce in New York.
