Gold futures rise to ₹1,41,612/10 gm on spot demand


Gold prices on Tuesday rose by ₹1,303 to ₹1,41,612 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, yellow metal contracts for August delivery traded higher by ₹1,303, or 0.93 per cent, at ₹1,41,612 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,095 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in precious metal prices, analysts said.

Globally, gold futures rose 0.70 per cent to $4,030.57 per ounce in New York.
